WBE/DBE Status

HLB Lighting Design is over 60% managed and owned by women.  We are one of the few lighting design firms that has continually supported women to grow professionally into senior positions, as shareholders, and managers in the workplace over our 40 year history.  Today we have three women as Senior Principals, one woman as Principal, three women as Associate Principals, and six women Associates in a firm of over 45 full-time employees.  Over the past five years we have endeavored to obtain our WBE and/or DBE status with several agencies and states around the country.

Many of the certifications we hold have reciprocal programs with other agencies resulting in certification in many areas outside of our primary office locations in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Boston.  To date there is no uniform program for all 50 states.
