St. James Church

Sanctuaries must evoke a contemplative spirit for parishioners often in a space that is designed with high ceilings. One of the keys to creating the intimacy is to create a secondary plane with the use of glowing “candlelight” pendants.  Highlights and natural light add to the subtle effects reminding the worshiper of their environment. Controlling the scenes in a sanctuary further enhances the total experience.

HLB worked closely with Arthur John Silula Associates on the St. James Church. Our scope of work included lighting the main sanctuary, narthex and and entrance of the church.
