The 88 Condominiums

San Jose, California

The 88 Condominiums is a luxury residential building in the heart of San Jose. The unique $98 million high-rise residences offer unsurpassed views in its 23-story tower and immediate access to the arts, fine dining, parks, open space, and all of the everyday necessities.  When completed The 88 became the tallest structure between Los Angeles and San Francisco.

From the moment of entering the lobby and throughout the public areas, the lighting design was intended to reinforce the feeling of arriving ‘home' from the City outside.  The use of indirect lighting and soft pools of light together with strategic use of decorative light elements help to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Our scope of work in collaboration with SB Architects and HKS Architects included exterior street level lighting, lighting at the podium pool deck and seating area, feature roof lighting, interior public area lighting including lobbies, corridors, community rooms and fitness center.  Our scope also included the lighting for all 197 residential units which range in size from 620 square feet to 2,480 square feet.
