In a nod keeping with the unique indie and lively character of Austin, Texas, a W Hotel has emerged for which HLB Lighting Design’s creative illumination interlaces techniques of bold color, texture, form, and pattern. As the anchor and heart of the 35-story Block 21 mixed-use development, the hotel’s eclectic yet chic environment reflects the W Brand harmonized with Austin’s authentic local flavor while promoting environmental stewardship. Dramatic pools of light and colored illumination create theatrical and striking compositions throughout.  HLB developed lighting solutions that are unique to each space and align closely with the architect’s signature style while being versatile, layered and complex allowing the ambiance to evolve from day to night.
