DISNEY'S SARATOGA SPRINGS

Working with design architects Graham Gund and architects of record Glover Smith Bode, HLB took on quite a challenge illuminating this 65 acre site for Disney's new vacation club hotel.  The theme was the upstate New York town of Saratoga Springs during its heyday time of lakeside retreats in the late 1800's.  This was accomplished with colorful Victorian architecture with the historic influence of horse racing on 12 hotel buildings and the refurbishment of 4 existing building on the campus.  Rolling hills, fragrant gardens, gracious promenades and gurgling springs combine to relax, reconnect and rejuvenate the spirit.

HLB worked on the site lighting and created a family of fixtures that ranged from pedestrian scaled poles for the sidewalks, to parking lot lighting, to the birdhouse themed lighting at the outdoor swimming pools.  HLB collaborated with DiLeonardo International interior designers on the lighting of over 550 guestrooms and creating custom fixtures throughout the dining and retail areas.
